Happy 2012!

 Hey y'all!

2012...seriously? Already?! This week marks 3 years since I moved to Nashville. Crazy how the time flies by. Over the past few months, I've been a part of some pretty cool things. Earlier this fall, I was fortunate to be invited to be a part of the "Mississippi Songwriters Festival" in Ocean Springs, Alabama. If you've never been there and love the "small beach town" atmosphere, you must go! I met a lot of great songwriters, as well as a lot of awesome music fans. In December, my family took our annual winter vacation to St. John. I got the chance to play a couple of songs with one of the island bands and had a blast. Even got to cover some Dolly Parton ! 

My featured video this month is from a private party I was asked to play in December here in Nashville for a couple who met me back when I played CMA fest this summer. "Wildflowers Grow Anywhere" is a newer song that I wrote about leaving your small town for your "big town" dreams. Would love to know what you think!

I know January of every year gives everyone the chance to create goals and set resolutions for the year. My resolution is pretty simple- to continue to improve both myself and my music, and to become a better servant of the Lord.
