“Closer To You” Singer is the Only Female in Best New Country Artist Category

NASHVILLE, TN (January 9, 2019) – Just days into 2019 and CARLY PEARCE is already on fire, picking up her first iHeartRadio Music Awards nomination and becoming the only female in the Best New Country Artist category! The award show celebrates the most-played artists and songs throughout 2018 across their platforms and will air on FOX (8-10pm ET/PT tape-delayed) March 14 live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

“I feel so honored to be nominated for Best New Country Artist this year. iHeartRadio has been such a key part to the unbelievable last 18 months of my life, so this feels very full circle.” expressed Carly.

The full list of nominees is available here: https://www.iheart.com/content/2019-01-09-2019-iheartradio-music-awards-see-the-full-list-of-nominees/.

With her history-making No. 1 debut laying the foundation, Carly scored a coveted slot on major tours (Luke Bryan, Rascal Flatts, Rascal Flatts, Thomas Rhett), won pivotal awards (CMT Music Awards Breakthrough Video of the Year and Radio Disney Music Award The Freshest! – Radio Disney Country Best New Artist) and made significant television appearances (Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, CMA Awards and Dancing With The Stars). Bold headlines flooded in hailing her status as “…one of country music’s most buzzed about artists” (Forbes) and proving “Carly Pearce Does ‘Every Little Thing’ to Break Barrier Against Women in Country Music” (Variety).

Carly will keep the momentum going with THE WAY BACK TOUR, an 11-city U.S. co-headline trek alongside Russell Dickerson, that kicks off January 24 in Cleveland, OH. Each night will feature music from her GOLD-certified album EVERY LITTLE THING, plus teases of her sophomore album on Big Machine Records, including lead single “Closer To You.” For tour dates and more, visit CarlyPearce.com and follow along at FacebookTwitter and Instagram.
